Cancellation & Refund Guidelines

At BookByOwn, we strive to ensure a transparent refund process. Since we act as a facilitator between you and various service providers (Airlines, Hotels, and Transporters), refunds are subject to the specific cancellation policies of these end-service providers in addition to our service fees.

Standard Refund Protocols

All cancellation requests must be submitted through our platform or via our official support email. Verbal cancellations will not be entertained.

  • Processing Time: Approved refunds are usually processed within 7 to 10 working days.
  • Service Fees: A nominal administrative fee per passenger/room is charged by BookByOwn for processing any cancellation.
  • Mode of Payment: Refunds will always be credited back to the original payment method used during booking.
  • Convenience Fees: The convenience fee charged at the time of booking is strictly non-refundable.

Note: For "Exclusive Route" flight bookings or non-refundable hotel room types, no amount will be refunded regardless of the time of cancellation.

Category Specific Policies

Flights

Refunds depend on the airline's fare class. Partially used tickets (one-way of a round trip) are often non-refundable. No-shows are treated as 100% cancellation fee.

Hotels

Cancellations made within 24-48 hours of check-in usually attract a one-night penalty. During peak season or "Blackout Dates," bookings may be 100% non-refundable.

Holidays & Tours

Since packages involve multiple vendors, refunds are calculated based on the individual cancellation terms of the transport, hotel, and activity providers involved.

Visa & Insurance

Visa application fees and Insurance premiums are 100% non-refundable once the application has been initiated or the policy has been issued.
