1. Accommodation Facilitation
BookByOwn acts solely as a facilitator connecting users with various categories of accommodation providers, including hotels, resorts, and homestays. The contract for service is directly between the User and the Property Management.
2. Identity and Check-in Protocols
- Mandatory Identification: Per government regulations, all guests (including children) must present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in. Valid IDs include Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport. Note: PAN Cards are not accepted as proof of residence.
- Timing: Standard check-in time is typically 12:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Requests for early check-in or late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional fees payable directly to the hotel.
3. Limitation of Liability
BookByOwn does not guarantee the quality of service, cleanliness, or safety standards of the property. Any disputes regarding room condition, behavior of staff, or standard of food must be resolved directly with the hotel management. Our liability is limited strictly to the refund of the booking amount in case of confirmed booking failures.
1. Airline Contract of Carriage
All flight bookings are subject to the terms of the respective airline's Contract of Carriage. BookByOwn is an agent and does not control airline operations, delays, or technical cancellations.
2. Name and Documentation Accuracy
- ID Match: The name on the booking must be an exact match to the government-issued photo ID used for travel. Even minor spelling errors may result in the airline denying boarding.
- Correction Fees: Name corrections, if permitted by the airline, will incur both airline penalties and a BookByOwn administrative service fee.
3. Mandatory Web Check-in
Per current Ministry of Civil Aviation guidelines, web check-in is mandatory for all domestic flights. Users are responsible for completing this at least 60 minutes prior to departure. Airlines may charge a "Counter Check-in Fee" if this is not done in advance.
1. Holiday Package Composition
Our holiday packages are sold as a "Total Experience." The package price is based on the combination of flights, hotels, and sightseeing components. Cancellation of one part of the package may result in the re-pricing of the entire itinerary at current market rates.
2. Itinerary Flexibility
- Force Majeure: BookByOwn reserves the right to modify itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, political unrest, or natural disasters to ensure passenger safety.
- Exclusions: Unless explicitly stated in your voucher, costs for laundry, telephone calls, tips, porterage, and additional meals are the sole responsibility of the traveler.
1. Scope of Service
BookByOwn provides administrative assistance in document collection, form filling, and appointment scheduling. We do not provide legal immigration advice.
2. Non-Guarantee Clause
- Consular Discretion: The issuance or rejection of a visa is the exclusive right of the respective Embassy or Consulate. BookByOwn has zero influence over the decision-making timeline or result.
- Financial Liability: BookByOwn is not liable for any financial losses (including non-refundable flight or hotel costs) incurred due to visa delays or rejections.
3. Fees Policy
Visa fees paid to the Embassy and the service fees charged by BookByOwn are strictly non-refundable once the application process has been initiated, regardless of the outcome of the visa application.
1. Insurance Underwriting
Travel Insurance is provided and underwritten by third-party insurance companies. BookByOwn acts as a corporate agent and does not process or approve insurance claims.
2. Claims Process
- Direct Filing: In the event of an emergency (medical, loss of baggage, or trip delay), the traveler must contact the insurance provider's 24/7 helpline directly as mentioned on the policy certificate.
- Documentation: Travelers must maintain all original bills, medical reports, and police complaints (FIR) to support their claims.
3. Pre-existing Conditions
Users are advised that most standard travel insurance policies do not cover expenses related to pre-existing medical conditions unless specifically declared and approved at the time of policy issuance.
